  WARRANTY INFORMATION
 
'COMPUTER TRADER' COMPUTER SYSTEMS
  COMPUTER TRADER Computer Systems include a full parts & labour return-to-base hardware warranty - new systems 12 months, reconditioned systems 3 months. (in addition Parts Only cover on specified parts may apply - see below) Proof of purchase date must be supplied by the customer.  
  Warranty extends to any hardware item or accessory which was purchased as part of the computer system. Assistance and support for other hardware and software items is available at prevailing labour rates.  
  Software related warranty work is limited to reinstating the operating system and other software as originally supplied. Assistance and support with other software, and/or data recovery, is available at prevailing labour rates. Computer Trader does not warrant software (including Microsoft Windows, Internet Explorer, antivirus etc). Virus and other infections are not covered by warranty.  
  3 STRIKES & OUT POLICY  
  Computer Trader strives to deliver customer satisfaction. Any undamaged hardware component which fails 3 times during warranty is eligible for replacement by a similar product, or if preferred, a different model product with appropriate cash adjustment.  
  ON SITE SERVICE  
  Standard Warranty covers return-to-base labour and parts only. On-site service is available in the greater Hobart area and may be available elsewhere. Prevailing labour rates apply, or On Site Hardware Warranty is available at additional cost.  
HARDWARE ACCESSORIES
  (PRINTERS, SCANNERS, SCREENS ETC)  
  Warranty is for the period of time specified by the manufacturer of the goods, generally 12 months unless otherwise specified. Proof of purchase date must be supplied by the customer.  
  Manufacturer's instructions for warranty support must be followed. Certain brands of accessories (such as Epson and Hewlett Packard) may be taken directly to the manufacturer's repair agent (such as Professional Computer Maintenance)  
  Warranty extends to repair or replacement only. Assistance with diagnosis and /or re-installation is available, prevailing labour rates apply.  
HARDWARE COMPONENTS (PARTS ONLY)
  Warranty on parts is for the period of time specified by the manufacturer of the goods, generally 12 months unlesss otherwise specified.  
  Goods to be replaced under warranty must be undamaged and proof of purchase MUST be supplied by the customer.  
  If proof of purchase cannot be supplied then warranty will be deemed to expire 12 months (or as appropriate) from the date of the warranty ID sticker.  
  Warranty on parts covers repair or replacement only - diagnosis, removal and refitting, data recovery or configuration work is available at prevailing labour rates.  
SOFTWARE SUPPORT SERVICES
  Software installation, user support and/or training services are available at prevailing labour rates. Please note that such support is separate to hardware warranty.
